Clementine Bal
Antler Gallery is excited to present resin sculptures from the studio of French artist Clementine Bal. Clementine describes her work as follows:
“I use polyester resins and mastics that I work at length, like a meditation, an incantation to life. The layers are superimposed, ears grow, horns grow. Everything is curved, every millimeter of this body taking shape is pampered. Sanding becomes caress. I take care of every little being in training as I would a baby. The color is deposited as a skin, uniform and neat, whose monochrome aspect emphasizes the softness of the forms.”
