This collection of original pantings and screen prints focuses on rugged mountain ranges and the intricacy of landscapes.
Dan McCarthy first gained notoriety in the art world for his exceptional design and screen-printing abilities. In the late 2000’s when indie rock was having its renaissance and gig posters were a ubiquitous element of the scene Dan was among the most prominent artists in the movement. His works centered around the themes of death and rebirth, featuring skeletons of both humans and dinosaurs, often submerged beneath the landscape as fossils in the case of the latter. Another signature motif is his suburban scenes where night skies are dissected by telephone wires.
