Tripper Dungan - Vibration Exploration
Vibration Exploration, Tripper Dungan’s latest interactive show, is a result of his research into and love of the mysterious, scientific and at points occult aspects of sound and music. Dungan’s approach is playful and is designed to bring the audience in and to activate curiosity. The cartoonish creature musicians cutout of salvaged plywood, the home made instruments, and a pile of painted toy guitars form a sort of unfinished encyclopedia of outsider music theory.
If you’ve ever had the urge to play a gigantic drum, wondered what dolphins are talking about, or you just like tiny pianos then you might want to drop in, have a look around, and see the sounds.
Tripper Dungan is a Portland Oregon artist who has been making 3D paintings for 20 years. He wrote the children’s book and record The Real Story of Ruth the Tooth and made Lookie House the house with a face an interactive art destination.
