Kevin Cyr is a Canadian painter, currently based in Portland, ME, whose work combines a dual focus on commercial vehicles and NY street art. Cyr’s work for this series is a collection of his signature de-contextualized portraits of vans, covered in graffiti, based on real vehicles he has known. Rather than glorifying the sleek design or status-symbol cache of luxury transportation the artist instead chosen to explore working vehicles. Cyr has exhibited in several galleries and museums in North America and his work is present in notable permanent private collections internationally.
